With a career going on 11 years, my passion for photography has been one of the few firmly unaltered indicators of my character from a very early age!
Photographing couples like you has helped to cast my passion into a fulfilling mission to capture couples most intimate moments in an authentic, intentional way.

When it comes to capturing intimate, authentic couple portraits on your wedding day, I take the approach of both documentary and guided imagery. I will simply give you and your partner a prompt which will help nurture an authentic and intimate response between the two of you. From a small nose kiss, to holding hands and laughing, tickle fights or a cute princess twirl! I believe each couple is unique and I adapt to be able to create the most candid, joyful portraits of you two as possible.

ASSOCIATE EXPERIENCE
If you're wedding day is on a date I am personally booked or my pricing falls a bit out of your budget...
I have an amazing team of likeminded, creative photographers available to capture your day too!
When booking an associate, you can expect to take $500 off of each package or a reduced rate of $375/hr for my elopement package.
ABOUT THE PROCESS:
You will communicate with me for planning, photographing your engagement session (unless you prefer the same person to do both), all of the editing, timeline help, etc but your lead photographer will do an introductory call to meet you before your wedding day and be the one to physically capture your day!
All of my associates have been working with me for over 5 years, capture about 10-15 weddings a year for me, and are full of experience, creative ideas and the same passion for wedding days as I am!

ABOUT Karisa: I also work as a Registered Nurse alongside helping others in a different way: preserving the most precious memories for others to treasure for a lifetime and beyond. I currently live in Arlington, VA with my husband and 2 dogs. We relocated here a few years ago from Florida for my husband's work (he's in the Coast Guard!). When I'm not working with my amazing couples, I am likely to be hitting the gym, taking the dogs out on an adventure with my hubby, or enjoying bottomless mimosas for brunch!

Once you inquire, you'll receive the link to view my guide. Once you find a package that fits your needs, schedule a call to make sure you think I'm a good fit!
If you think I'm a good fit to photograph your day, you'll sign your contract and make the retainer payment!
In the months leading up to your wedding we will plan your engagement session, work on your timeline, and go through all the details that will make your day successful!
I'll show up excited and ready to shoot your wedding without missing a beat! I'll be watching out for all of those special moments so you can focus on enjoying your wedding day!
7 days after your wedding, you'll receive a sneak peek gallery. 8-12 weeks after your wedding day, you'll receive your full gallery!
If you have film, you'll receive your prints, polaroids and scans in a box during your full gallery delivery.
How do I secure my wedding date?
In order to secure your wedding date, there is a signed contract and $1,000 retainer needed on all packages.
How long does it take to receive the final photos?
Wedding galleries take between 8-12 weeks to be completed. Sneak Peeks will be delivered within 7 weeks.
I offer a rush fee of 1,000 to have your photos edited in 4 weeks.
Do you have travel fees?
I have a base travel fee of $150 outside of 150 miles from 22734.
Why should I have a second photographer?
While I love capturing details and wish I could be everywhere at once, having a second photographer allows for more angles and creative ideas to show in your wedding gallery!
How do you back up your photos?
Backing up my images is a really important part of my wedding workflow! Once I get home from your wedding day, I back up your wedding images to 2 separate hard drives, a cloud and I save your images on the SD cards until I have delivered your gallery!
